Last spring, something special happened. A pair of black redstarts built a nest in my studio. They found their way through a tightly sealed window pane — a secret passage to a safe haven in a crack, in the beam under the ceiling.

Black redstart. This blouse, this name — was created in memory of that unexpected, persistent nesting in my renovated Darnina workshop.

Simplicity. The keyword. Like those dozens of little brown birds whose names (almost) no one remembers. That’s what this linen shirt — or blouse, as you prefer — is like. The neckline finished with a placket. No cuffs, no extra details. Simple closure with tiny coconut buttons. The perfect base. Simple, universal, reliable. The shirt is like a blank canvas — a foundation for further exploration.

• Loose-fitting linen long-sleeve top
• Simple neckline finished with a placket.
• Loose, straight sleeves, easy to roll up
• Front closure with small 10 mm coconut buttons.
• 100% linen, available in three colors: graphite, nougat, and chestnut, with a weight of 200 g/m².
• Length – 62 cm

Care: Machine wash at 40°C (104°F) on a gentle cycle, avoid strong spinning, do not bleach. Linen does not like tumble drying. Iron according to your preference — linen wrinkles persistently and beautifully.

Blouses are made from softened, stonewashed linen and pre-washed after sewing, so they won’t shrink unexpectedly after the first wash.
